A man in his 80s has died in a car crash in Co Donegal.

The two-car crash happened on the Donegal town to Ballybofey Road at about 3.30pm.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second car, a 64-year-old woman, was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
