Sniffer dog finds cash at Rosslare Europort

A sniffer dog has found €38,370 in cash on a passenger as he disembarked from a French ferry at Rosslare Europort.

The cash was discovered both on the person of and in the luggage of a Polish national in his 30s.  

The money was seized in accordance with the proceeds of crime legislation.  
 
A three-month detention order was granted by Gorey District Court to carry out further investigation in respect of the money.
