A woman from County Antrim has been in court charged with attempting to identify people in a PSNI witness protection scheme.

32-year-old Charlene Pierce, from Newtownabbey was accused of collecting information likely to be of use to terrorists, and misconduct in public office.

The offences allegedly took place between 25-28 June last, while Ms Pierce was working for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

The accused was granted bail on condition she resides at home, does not attempt to leave Northern Ireland without first informing police, does not apply for a British or Irish passport, and does not attempt to contact a number of individuals and their families listed by the prosecution.

She is due back in court on 25 September next.
