Gardaí are appealing for information on the murder of Patryk Krupa in Athlone earlier this year.

Mr Krupa left Athlone town in a black BMW 3 Series car, partial registration number '06 D', on Friday 20 June 2014 at about 6.30pm.

It is believed there were four other occupants in the car at the time.

Three of the occupants have been interviewed and gardaí are now appealing for the fourth person to contact them in Athlone Garda Station.

It is also believed that the car was driven from Athlone Town to an area known as the 'Number 1', which is at Bogginfin, Athlone, Co Roscommon.

The area is located underneath the Athlone by-pass where it crosses the River Shannon.

The car was later recovered parked in a housing estate near Cornamaddy, Athlone, in the early hours of 21 June.

Gardaí want to talk to anyone who may have seen the car in, or close to, the areas mentioned between 20 June and 21 June.

They are also appealing to members of the Polish community to contact them in Athlone on 0906-498550 or any garda station.

People with information can also call Crimestoppers on 1800-250025.
