A search resumed today for a 19-year-old Irishman who went missing off the coast of Byron Bay in New South Wales in Australia on Saturday.

The man had been surfing with two others when he went missing after all three got caught in a rip current in rough conditions.

A 26-year-old was rescued from the water, while a 20-year-old was taken from the rocks with minor injuries.
