A Cork man has been jailed for eight years for stabbing a 51-year-old man to death at The Manhattan Bar in Cork three years ago.

Dean Crinnion, 20, of Blackwater Grove, Togher, in Cork, was sentenced to ten years in prison, with two years suspended.

The murder trial ended last week when Crinnion pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter for killing Gerard Delaney in December 2011.

The court heard Crinnion said he was sorry for what he had done.
