Five people have been arrested after drugs worth an estimated €500,000 were seized in Dublin.

Four men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in a garda operation at a premises on the Crumlin Road yesterday.

Follow-up searches at five premises in Tallaght and Clondalkin led to the seizure of 50,000 tablets, believed to be ecstasy, equipment and chemicals used in the manufacture of tablets.

A woman in her late 20s was arrested during one search in Clondalkin.

The five are being detained at Sundrive Road, Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations.
