Taoiseach Enda Kenny has met with Tánaiste Joan Burton to discuss the Cabinet reshuffle, details of which are expected to be announced tomorrow.
Speaking earlier this evening, Mr Kenny would only confirm that they were preparing an economic statement and that he hoped things would be done quickly.
Speculation increased that Mr Kenny and Ms Burton will announce the new Cabinet tomorrow after Government TDs were told that pairing arrangements will not be available for them for the Dáil sitting.
This means they will have to attend to vote.
A senior source said "that everything had all-but-been agreed".
Earlier, Minister of State Sean Sherlock was asked about the Labour Party seeking the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
He responded saying there is less of a tug-of-war and more of a tug-of-love between the Government parties over the department.
