Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has admitted that he got drunk in his office while serving as mayor.
In an interview for CBC television, Ford said that he had a severe substance abuse problem and his two-month stint in rehab had saved his life.
The Mayor admitted that he had a chronic disease that he would live with for the rest of his life.
He blamed his substance abuse as the cause of his erratic behaviour which included using racial epithets.
