A man has been injured in a shooting incident in Dublin.

The shooting occurred at Beechfield Rise in Blanchardstown shortly after 10am this morning.

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to Connolly Hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.

The area has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
