The Energy Regulator has not yet published its plan for water charges as it is awaiting a final submission on the issue from Irish Water.
The regulator's plan will include draft proposals on the level and structure of charges.
It will also provide a review of Irish Water's set-up costs and the proposed allowed revenue for the company.
A spokesperson for Irish Water said they had carried out further research on a range of issues including water usage and their submission is due imminently.
The regulator has so far received 240 responses from the public in relation to water charges.
The consultation period will close in August and the regulator will make a final decision on water charges
