Two men questioned over allegations of seriously sexually assaulting two teenagers have been released without charge and a file is to be prepared for the DPP.

The 41-year-old and 32-year-old were arrested in the early hours of this morning after the girls alleged they had been assaulted.

The girls, aged 18 and 19, had been at a Jason Derulo concert at the 'Live at the Marquee' venue on the Cork Dockland's last night.

After the event they went to the Savoy nightclub in the city centre and met a group who had also been at the concert.

Gardaí in Anglesea street are investigating claims by the teenagers that two men from the group carried out sexual assaults on them in the early hours of this morning after they left the nightclub.

The two men, who both from the US, were arrested around 4am near Grand Parade.

The women were taken to the sexual assault unit at the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital.
