Three people have been arrested following two separate road crashes in Northern Ireland.

A 30-year-old man was arrested after a man in his 70s was killed in Co Down this afternoon.

Police said the man, who was a pedestrian, died when three vehicles collided in Downpatrick.

Elsewhere, two men aged 43 and 50 were arrested after a fatal crash near Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

A 69-year-old man died following the two-vehicle collision this morning.

A tractor and lorry were involved in the crash at the Killybracken Road, which occurred just after 10.20am.

PSNI officers investigating the collision have appealed to witnesses to come forward.
