No decision has been made in relation to the case against horse trainer Philip Fenton at Clonmel District Court.

Judge Terence Finn was to make a ruling on whether or not the case should proceed following objections about the offences listed on the summonses and the animal remedies regulations Mr Fenton is alleged to have contravened.

Mr Fenton is facing eight charges over treatments and medicines allegedly found at his yard in South Lodge, Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary by veterinary inspectors in January 2012.

The ruling with regard to whether or not the case should proceed is now expected to be made at Cashel District Court on Thursday.
