Talks on the future of Waterford based eye-care company Bausch + Lomb have moved to Dublin.

The discussions are being held under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission.

The company owners, Valeant, want 200 redundancies and a 20% pay cut for the remaining 900 employees.

The unions represented at the talks are SIPTU and the TEEU.

The discussions started last Tuesday in Waterford and recommenced in Dublin this morning.

It is expected they will continue all week.

The company has put a deadline of Tuesday 17 June on the conclusion of the talks.
