An investigation is under way after a car was hijacked in Dublin over the weekend.

The incident at occurred on Windmill Road in Crumlin at 11.45pm on Saturday night.

A car was stopped by a man who was standing in the middle of the road and carrying a baseball bat.

Two other men approached the vehicle and demanded cash.

The driver of the car left the vehicle and ran to Crumlin Garda Station and the men then drove off with the car.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
