A woman in her 60s has died following a two-car collision in Co Meath yesterday evening.

The woman, who was driving one of the cars, sustained serious leg injuries in the crash on the Athboy Road at 6.50pm.

She was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where she died in the early hours of this morning.

The driver of the other car was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
