A 41-year-old man is to appear in court tomorrow in relation to a carjacking in Terenure in Dublin on Friday.

The man was arrested this morning and is being held at Terenure Garda Station.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon when a woman was stopped at traffic lights at the junction of Zion Road and Orwell Road.

A man got into the back of her car and demanded money from her. He also claimed to be carrying a weapon.

The man instructed her to drive to her house and retrieve bank cards.

He then made her drive to an ATM and withdraw money, before he left the car in Portobello.

The woman and her two children were not injured in the incident.
