Seven units of Cork City Fire Brigade have brought a large fire under control at two industrial units near the city centre.

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at Marina Park on Centre Park Road by the Cork Docklands at around 1.50am.

The industrial units are located at what was once the Dunlop Tyre factory.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.

Five units of the fire brigade are still at the scene, and it is expected it will take much of the morning to completely extinguish the fire.
