Two men have been arrested after heroin with an estimated value of €900,000 was seized in Newcastle, Co Dublin.

The men, aged 33 and 46, were arrested by gardaí targeting the sale and supply of drugs by an organised crime gang in the Clondalkin/Ballyfermot area shortly before 12pm.

The 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the find and will appear in court tomorrow morning.

The second man was released without charge.
