Alleged victim testifies at trial of former coachTuesday 06 May 2014 18.50
The trial of a former Gaelic Football coach has heard evidence that the man indecently assaulted one of the boys while he was in goal and the rest of the team were up the pitch.
The former coach has pleaded not guilty to 54 charges of indecently assaulting five boys in the 1980s.
The alleged victim, the fifth to give evidence in this trial at Sligo Circuit Court, said the man, who is now in his early 70s, was an umpire at the time.
He said he was playing under-12 and would normally play outfield, but on this occasion he was in goal.
He said the man came over and indecently assaulted him. He did not remember other adults being present at the time.
