Three men have appeared in court charged in connection with the seizure of over €5m worth of cannabis in Dublin.

Sean Mahony, 38, from Donoghmore Crescent in Tallaght, Cornelius Van Gent, 72, from Holland and Peng Cheng, 22, also from Holland, were all charged with possession of cannabis for sale or supply.

Judge Patrick Clyne remanded all men in custody to appear back before Cloverhill District Court on Thursday.

All three men were granted legal aid.

Detectives sized €5.1m worth of cannabis in Ballymun last Friday.

Two others were arrested as part of the investigation and released without charge.
