Three people were taken to hospital after an ambulance collided with a car and then hit a wall in Dublin.

Two paramedics and the occupant of the car were injured in the crash on Butterfield Avenue in Rathfarnham just before 9am.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and an investigation is under way.

It was earlier reported that a patient had been injured in the crash.

However, Dublin Fire Brigade has said there was no patient in the ambulance at the time.
