The PSNI is appealing for information following an explosion at a house in north Belfast.

What is believed to have been a pipe bomb-type device exploded at the property in Carlisle Square at around 11pm last night.

A man in his 20s who was in the house was not injured in the blast.

The doorway of the house was damaged in the explosion.

A motive for the attack has not yet been established.
