The Irish winners of a €15m EuroMillions jackpot collected their winnings at the National Lottery offices in Dublin today.

Their winning ticket for the draw on Tuesday 1 April was a €6 quickpick selection.

The winners, who are family members, said they did not wish their identity to be known.

They said they were "both delighted and dumbstruck" at having won such a large sum of money.

"We have been playing EuroMillions for a number of years now and have won small prizes, but this win is definitely life-changing," one of the winners told the National Lottery.

"Since we realised we are the winners, we've been coming to terms with the news, but it's almost overwhelming.

"We haven't made any definite plans as yet. One thing is certain: We intend to make sure that our family's financial future is secured."
