Man 'stable' after being struck by Luas

A young man is in a stable condition in hospital after he was struck by a Luas tram in south Dublin last night.

Dublin Fire Service said the incident happened at Cheeverstown at around 8.15pm.

The 18-year-old man was brought by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital, where he is understood to be in a stable condition.

A spokesperson for the tram company said the man was struck on the tracks between the Citywest and Cheeverstown stops last night.
