Our Lady's Hospice in Harold's Cross, Dublin has submitted a planning application for a €16m project to redevelop its residential hospice and re-equip day care and community support.

The application is for 36 single-occupancy rooms to change the nature of inpatient care.

The application has been made to Dublin City Council and the development is planned over two phases.

Work is expected to start before the end of this year, to be completed by mid 2016.
