Three people have been arrested in connection with the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of €1m.

Two men were arrested this morning in a follow-up investigation after another man were arrested yesterday.

They were arrested after the discovery of cannabis herb, cannabis plants, cocaine and heroin.

One of the men, a 28-year-old man, appeared in court in Ardee this afternoon.

He was arrested yesterday after gardaí stopped a car in the Drogheda area.

The other men, aged in their 30s and 50s, were arrested in a follow-up operation.

A second car was seized and an apartment was also searched this morning.
