A man has been charged with murdering two workmen in Northern Ireland 20 years ago.

The charges involve the deaths of 24-year-old Gary Convie and 44-year-old Eamon Fox in North Queen Street, North Belfast, on 17 May 1994.

The suspect, 48, is also accused of attempted murder and possession of a firearm. He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates court in the morning. Two people have already been charged in relation to the murders.

Mr Fox and Mr Convie were Catholic builders from County Armagh who were attacked while eating their lunch in a car parked close to their building site.
