Gardaí have appealed for information after a shooting in Dublin yesterday evening.

A man in his 30s is in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in the neck and body.

The attack happened in the car park of Bawnogue Church in Clondalkin at around 6.15pm.

The victim managed to drive to Clondalkin Garda Station, where he collapsed just after he walked in the door.

Gardaí are treating the shooting as attempted murder.

The man was known to them for his connections to one of two feuding Crumlin-Drimnagh criminal gangs.

His house was bombed a number of years ago, but gardaí believe he could have been shot last night because of a dispute with a Clondalkin-based criminal.
