Three viable devices have been made safe by an Army Bomb Disposal Team in Tallaght in Dublin.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team  responded to a request from gardaí after a suspect device was found outside a house in the Saint Dominics area.

A cordon and road closures were put in place for public safety, while a number of nearby houses were evacuated.

The team arrived on scene at 4.20 pm. The devices were made safe at the scene without the need for a controlled explosion and were brought to a safe military location for further examination.

The scene was declared safe at 4.50 pm.
