Man arrested over death of James Mulqueen in Limerick

A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the death of James Mulqueen at his Co Limerick home in October 2009.

The 92-year-old lived alone in Ballymakery, Kilcolman.

It was initially thought Mr Mulqueen had died of natural causes but a post-mortem examination led gardaí to investigate the circumstances of his death

The man was arrested this morning in the Limerick area.

He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Henry Street Garda Station.
