Gardaí in Bantry are appealing for help in tracing Sean Douglas, who has been missing since the weekend.

The 16-year-old has been missing from the Kilbrittain area of Co Cork since Sunday.

He is described as 1.85m (6"1') with a broad build, short dark hair and round face.

When last seen he was wearing a black leatherette jacket, grey tracksuit and trainers.

Anyone with information should contact gardaí at Bantry on 027-20860 or any garda station.

Separately, searches of the River Shannon continued today for two men now missing for almost a week.

LIT student Stephan Kavanagh, 21, from Clonlara in Co Clare has not been seen since the early hours of last Thursday morning.

Divers and search teams from Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, along with a team from Killaloe, are searching a section of the river located between Ardnacrusha and Clonlara.

Search teams are also involved in trying to locate Mark Casey, a native of Ballyinascragh, Killeigh, Co Offaly.

The 19-year-old has not been seen since early last Friday morning.

The NUIG student was last seen near St John's Cathedral in Limerick city shortly after leaving a nightclub in the city.
