A Hepatitis C support group, which has had its public funding cut by the Health Service Executive, has held an emergency general meeting in Dublin.

Positive Action released a brief statement this afternoon, saying its members had "affirmed their strength and unity going forward."

It is understood the HSE decided to pull funding for the group after it became concerned about how public money was being spent.
