Retailer SuperValu has said it plans to create 210 jobs at three new stores this year.
The company said the new stores will be part of a €7 million investment, while a further €12m will be spent on the expansion and refurbishment of 45 existing stores.
Figures released today show SuperValu recorded retail sales of €2.1bn in 2013, a 1% increase on the previous year's figures.
Following the name change of the 24 Superquinn stores earlier this month, the company now has a combined market share of 25.2% and is the largest Irish grocery brand in the country.
The expanded SuperValu network consists of 223 stores, employing 14,500 employees and handling 2.6m transactions a week.
