Two people have been charged after ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of £50,000 (€60,945) were seized near Lurgan in Co Armagh.

The drugs were recovered on Friday night during an operation by the PSNI’s organised crime branch.

A 32-year old man and 30-year-old woman were arrested following the operation.

Last month, the PSNI issued a warning about ecstasy tablets with the street name "speckled rolex" following a number of deaths linked with the drug.
