A man has been arrested after a protest at the gates of RTÉ this evening.

A group calling itself Dublin Says No was protesting about a reference made by newsreader Bryan Dobson to two of its members outside the Dáil, during a Six One News broadcast last November.

Up to 50 people attended the protest. They claimed that bias and a lack of balance has been shown in some RTÉ News reports.

They say RTÉ has not shown the true extent to which austerity has affected many families around the country.

The man who was arrested had climbed over a wall into the RTÉ campus.
