Drone footage has captured the devastation after a rockfall crashed through and destroyed a barn in northern Italy.

An estimated four thousand cubic metres of rock came loose from a cliff face above the site, before destroying most of a 300-year-old barn.

One boulder came to rest just short of the building.

Huge scars were left in the hillside where the jagged rocks had rolled, with a vineyard left badly damaged.

No one was injured in the incident.

The scene, at Tramin in South Tyrol, was filmed using a radio-controlled drone on 21 January (newsflare.com).
