A child has been diagnosed with swine flu in Northern Ireland.

The boy, from Belfast, was transferred to a hospital in Scotland for treatment.

Three years ago, an outbreak of swine flu killed almost 30 people in Northern Ireland, most of whom had underlying health issues.

With vaccines now widely available, swine flu is treated like any other strain of the flu virus.
