Gardaí are appealing for information following a cash-in-transit robbery at a shopping centre in Dublin.

At around 11.30am a man, believed to be armed with a firearm, held up a security guard outside Castleknock Shopping Centre.

The raider took a cash box and escaped in a black Ford Mondeo.

Two men then abandoned the car and escaped on foot, scaling a wall at the back of the shopping centre.

Officers are appealing for information or sightings of the two suspects or the black car.
