Two investigations are under way after a 26-year-old man died in a farming accident in Co Cork.

It is believed the man died after he became trapped underneath a trailer at a farm in Knockea in Clonakilty.

He was found at around 12.45am and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's body has been removed to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating.
