Gardaí have arrested two men after a car was pursued and rammed on the M50.

Last night, a man and a woman drove to a car park on the Naas Road in Dublin to meet someone to try to sell a silver BMW.

As the BMW attempted to drive from the car park it was blocked by a car and a SUV.

They managed to exit the car park but were followed along the M50 where attempts were made to ram it again a number of times.

The BMW was rammed by the car on the Neilstown Road where both vehicles came to a stop.

Both occupants managed to raise the alarm after escaping on foot on the Neilstown Road and contacted gardaí.

Two men, aged 30 and 21, were arrested a short time later.

They were due to appear in court today.
