Two more people charged over Creighton deathMonday 06 January 2014 20.52
Two more men have been charged in relation to the death of Dale Creighton in Tallaght last week.
A total of eight people have now been charged in the case.
Gerard Stevens, 24, with an address at St Dominic’s Terrace, and Jason Beresford, 20, with an address at Avonbeg Gardens, both in Tallaght, were charged with violent disorder at St Dominic’s Road in Tallaght on 1 January.
Garda David Morris told Judge Anthony Halpin that he arrested Mr Beresford at 12pm on 5 January and he made no reply when charged later that day.
Detective Garda Kieran Kilcoyne told the court that he arrested Mr Stevens on 4 January.
Both men were released on bail under a number of conditions including that they both observe a curfew, that they live outside Tallaght, surrender their passports and have no contact with the six other people also charged in the case.
They are both due to appear again in the Criminal Courts of Justice on 16 January.
Mr Creighton, 20, was seriously assaulted at the footbridge at St Dominic’s Road in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
He died the following day at Beaumont Hospital.
