A second man has been remanded in custody accused of carrying out a double killing at a flat in Belfast earlier this month.

32-year-old Ciaran Nugent, with an address on the Falls Road, faces charges of murdering Caron Smyth, 40, and Finbar McGrillen, 42, during a domestic incident.

The bodies were discovered at an apartment in Ravenhill Court, in the southeast of the city on 13 December.

Last week, 33-year-old Shaun Hegarty, of Grainne House in the New Lodge area, was remanded in custody in connection with the killings.
