A man has been charged with a double murder in Belfast.

The 33-year-old is accused of killing Finbar McGrillen, 42, and Caron Smyth, 40, whose bodies were found in a flat in the Ravenhill Court area of the city on Friday.

Detectives are treating the murders as a domestic-related crime.

Officers have not yet revealed how the victims, both from Co Down, died.

Police found their bodies in the living room of the flat.

They were alerted by a member of the public who noticed the front door of the property had been badly damaged.
