Taoiseach Enda Kenny has begun a five day visit which will focus on enhancing trade and investment opportunities with the world's third largest economy.

Mr Kenny will be accompanied by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Simon Coveney.

It is hoped that during the visit arrangements will be finalised to secure the re-opening of the Japanese market to Irish beef.
