A sister of three siblings who were released from an Egyptian prison last week says they have been prevented from leaving the country.

Khadija Halawa said the women were stopped by officials at the airport in Cairo.

Somaia, Fatima and Omaima Halawa were taken into custody in August following a protest in Cairo.

Khadija Halawa said her brother, Ibrahim, has had his detention extended by another 45 days, but lawyers for the family intend to appeal the decision.
