Two US National Guard soldiers have been injured in a shooting at a US Navy facility in Millington, Tennessee.
A suspect has been apprehended following the shooting at the Navy property which is leased to the National Guard and manages personnel records.
A spokesman for Navy Installations Command, Patrick Foughty said the soldiers’ injuries were not life-threatening.
The facility, which is 17 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee, was temporarily put on lockdown but that was later lifted.
"The suspect is in custody and the shooting is under investigation," said another Navy official, who asked not to be identified.
The incident happened just over a month after a contract worker opened fire at a Washington Navy yard on 16 September killing 12 people before being shot dead by police.
