There are fears for over 100 jobs at a Dublin-based aircraft engine overhaul facility.

Trade union SIPTU has entered into a 30-day consultation process with PWA International on the future of the plant, a subsidiary of international corporation Pratt and Whitney.

The Irish facility, based on the Nass Road, overhauls and repairs large commercial jet engine cases.

Internationally, Pratt and Whitney has laid off more than 1000 employees this year, including 400 in August.
