A 21-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Meath.

He was the driver of a car that hit a ditch on the Dunshaughlin to Dunboyne road at around 12.30am.

Five other people, three men and two women, who were in the car were injured.

The road is closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
